"It's too dark for me to be able to tell if there's smoke or not," Warren murmured, sounding almost apologetic. He could see well. He could see very well. But really only in the daylight. "I can't make out any light from the windows, but that could just mean that they're sleeping."
He was swooping downward, flapping his wings to pick up speed. He really didn't like the sight of that. Not at all.
